Noah Kellman - Jazz Piano

 

Pianist Noah Kellman, based in Manhattan, NY, is a recent graduate of the SUNY Purchase Arts Management Program, where he was the recipient of the President’s Award in Arts Management.  In 2009, Noah was selected as the pianist for the Brubeck Institute Fellowship, a prestigious year long program where he was fortunate enough to perform with such greats as Nicholas Payton and Christian McBride. As the creator of JazzPianoConcepts.com, he has also become a sought after jazz piano teacher throughout the world. Noah continues to perform frequently as a member of various musical groups throughout New York City.

 

He was a member of the GRAMMY Jazz Ensembles in 2009 and has performed at the Vail Jazz Festival, Syracuse Jazz Festival, in the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, as well as various other venues.  His honors include the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Residency, two ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Awards, as well as eight Downbeat Student Music Awards for outstanding performance as a jazz soloist and original composition. In 2009, Downbeat Magazine selected him as the “Best High School Jazz Soloist” and he was a member of the duo with Nick Frenay that won the 2009 Downbeat award for best high school jazz group in the country.  Noah has studied or performed with artists such as John Clayton, Taylor Eigsti, Hal Galper, Lewis Nash, Terri Lynn Carrington, Geoff Keezer, Curtis Fuller, Jane Monheit, Marvin Stamm, Frank Morgan, and Danilo Perez. From 2009 to 2010, Noah attended the Brubeck Institute, where he was fortunate enough to perform with such greats as Nicholas Payton and Christian McBride.
